Part of the documentary series looking at the most significant battles of the Second World War. This volume traces the course of the fight by the British and American navies against the German submarine U-Boat threat, a tense cat-and-mouse struggle that saw merchant convoys and warships sunk in vast numbers. By the end of the war, the conflict against the U-Boats in the Atlantic had cost over 100,000 lives. Includes rare archive footage.
