Discovery频道邀请您进入新英格兰延绳钓渔夫的冒险世界。《剑旗鱼之海上交锋》的主角搏命出海，在危险海域追逐地球上最难捕捉的猎物。剑旗鱼是珍贵的深海鱼类，每年秋天是捕捉剑旗鱼的最佳时节，地点是经常遭受风暴侵袭的北大西洋──也就是1991年发生超级大风暴的海域。跟着《剑旗鱼之海上交锋》的船长与船员一起把大鱼拉上船。
《剑旗鱼之海上交锋》的主角是四艘船─鹰眼二号、大眼号、海鹰号与法兰西丝安妮号─观众将跟着主角硬闯风暴肆虐的海域，目的是满载而归。船长们使出浑身解数，凭借着丰富经验追捕剑旗鱼。虽然辛苦付出的报酬很高，但讨海的风险更高。出海一个月就要花费六万美元，就算捉到几万磅渔获也只能打平成本。一条大鱼的价钱可高达两万美元，因此出海一趟，成败可能取决于一瞬之间。每位船长都有自己的私房捕鱼地点，也知道如何判读海面状况与温度，捕捉到最棒的渔获。一旦鱼儿上钩，渔船会全力冲向市场，因为最先抵达的渔获价格也最高。
用延绳钓起价格不菲的剑旗鱼，对身心都是巨大挑战。对渔夫来说，一天工作二十个小时是家常便饭。六吋鱼钩挂在长达四十哩的延绳上，当鱼钩飞越甲板，可能在几秒内就会把甲板水手拖进深达百呎的海里。此外，来自其他海域的巨大拖网渔船，也可能会把延绳拖走或破坏，因为他们对其他同业绝不手下留情。最后即使船员捕到丰富渔获，能否平安返家还是个问题。敬请欣赏惊涛骇浪版的俄罗斯轮盘，看看讨海人如何为了谋生搏命演出。

Linda Greenlaw and Captain Scotty continue with their friendly rivalry. Captain Slick is forced to deal with a greenhorn crew while Chomps has to take whatever crew is available at the last minute. All four ships set out for the Grand Banks.

An eminent storm pushes every captain into a race to put fish on the boats; the deck boss of the Frances Anne makes an epic mistake that inspires a Captain Slick meltdown.
The Storm of the Century
The four captains have to decide if they will ride out the storm or come back to shore when a large hurricane system unleashes its fury across the North Atlantic.
With Friends Like These
Linda’s decision to ride out the storm on the fishing grounds leaves her in a prime location; Captains Scotty and Chompers have to make up for lost time following their decision to wait out the storm inland.

Deck boss Lemmy Eastburn suffers a serious injury and tempers flare on board the Hannah Boden, as the crews struggle with the worst fishing season in living memory
