Rory and Paddy’s Great British Adventure, produced by IWC Media, will see them travel the length and breadth of the UK in a small camper van, taking part in a whole host of unusual but quintessentially British events, including: Cheese Rolling in Gloucestershire; Pig Racing in Dorset; the famous Bird Men of Bognor competition and the cheerfully violent sport of shin kicking, centrepiece of the Cotswold Olympics. Episode 1
New series. Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness tour the UK, visiting eccentric sporting events around the country. In the first instalment, they head to Gloucestershire to sample cheese rolling and experience the brutal world of shin-kicking in the Cotswold OIympics. Paddy takes part in a game of river football in the town of Bourton-on-the-Water, while Rory travels to Cambridge to receive a crash course in tiddlywinks
Episode 2
Rory McGrath heads to Yorkshire to witness the annual Knaresborough Bed Race and meets some fathers from a local football squad and places a wager on them beating a team of athletic young women. Meanwhile, Paddy McGuinness dons full periodic costume to take part in Carnwath, South Lanarkshire’s Red House Race. The duo then reunite in Wigan for an attempt to break the world record for the least time taken to eat a pie
Episode 3
Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness meet in a Peak District pub, where they sign up for the World Toe Wrestling Championship. Paddy then heads to Wales to take part in the World Mountain Bog Snorkelling Championships, while Rory pedals through an Oxfordshire village on a vintage tricycle. The duo reunite to try their hand at worm charming in Cheshire and wreak havoc at a destruction derby in Skegness
Episode 4
Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness travel to the south and south-west of England to take part in the Pedal Car Grand Prix in Ringwood, Hampshire. They also head to Britain’s most distinguished public school to participate in squash-like game Eton Fives. For their individual events, Rory tries to break the stinging nettle-eating world record and Paddy samples a pub sport called bat and trap
