In his youth, a failed artist and drifter who roamed the streets of Vienna, Adolf Hitler was either unwilling or psychologically unfit to hold down a proper job. To survive, he relied on hand-outs from his family, and on the occasional sale of a painting.
To this very day, the exact circumstances of Hitler’s transformation from pathetic drop-out to ruthless politician have remained a mystery. Equally mysterious are the true circumstances of Hitler’s vitriolic anti-Semitism, which formed the basis of his rabble-rousing speeches ever since his first involvement in politics in 1919.
What caused a lone drifter to become one of the most evil dictators ever known?
