Given the colossal size of the Asian continent, there’s little wonder it is home to such a diverse collection of plants and animals.Today’s episode of this series on the region’s flora and fauna focuses on those creatures that survive in its most forbidding, arid areas - the dry grasslands of the Mongolian Steppe, the parched Gobi Desert and the great sandy wastes of India.
Among the animals we encounter are wild Przewalki’s horses - the world’s only truly wild horse - plus bactrian camels and great gerbils.
